Are you ready to begin your career as an insulator with Local 18? Insulators Local 18 is actively seeking individuals who are looking to begin their career in the trade. We offer a four year registered apprenticeship program to students to learn the trade through in-classroom education and hands on training. This program is run by a joint contractor and union team known as the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (J.A.T.C.).
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
Alongside the Local 18 apprenticeship program, the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers believes in supporting those that show the dedication to become mechanical insulators and establish a solid foundation for their careers and their lives. As a result, while in the apprenticeship program, each student receives hands on training–both inside and outside the classroom–and you’ll earn a living wage from day one. Unlike many traditional post-high school education opportunities, our apprentices do not accumulate student debt in order to better themselves and receive additional education. Instead, you’ll have the ability to build a stable, comfortable life right from the beginning with scheduled, incremental raises along the way!
